Julie's Quest

Hello, and welcome to my blog. My blog is about the trials and tribulations of writing, where we celebrate successes and commiserate our near misses. We tell it like it is here and will do our very best to help you on the road to being published and pick you up after the rejections (they will come!) Whether you are a professional or amateur writer you will find something useful here.

I hope you enjoy reading my posts and will visit again soon.

Writers' Forum Magazine

The new issue of Writers' Forum Magazine is due out on DEC 3rd. I know a lot of bloggers and writers already read it, but if you don't, get it and read it cover to cover. It's a great magazine for writers and if you take the advice in there on board your writing will improve.

On my other blog Article Antics, I had posted about Proposal Paranoia, as I was concerned that I wasn't hearing anything back from editors I'd pitched ideas to. Carl Styants, the editor of Writers' Forum read this and took the time to go through a pitch I had sent to him - he actually rewrote it - and his advice was so helpful. I've posted his advise over on Article Antics, so if you're interested in his advice click here.

He did accept my proposal for a NaNo article which I'm pleased about! Thanks, Carl.

Happy writing
Julie xx
