Julie's Quest

Hello, and welcome to my blog. My blog is about the trials and tribulations of writing, where we celebrate successes and commiserate our near misses. We tell it like it is here and will do our very best to help you on the road to being published and pick you up after the rejections (they will come!) Whether you are a professional or amateur writer you will find something useful here.

I hope you enjoy reading my posts and will visit again soon.

Happy Writing

B is for Belief

As a writer you need to believe in:

*Your own abilities as a writer.
*Your characters.
*Yourself.
*Your story telling ability.
*Your ability to self-edit.
*Your ability to self-market your work.
*The fact that you will get published no matter what.

If you don't believe in yourself or your writing than how do you expect an editor, an agent, a publisher or reader to believe in your work either? It's all in the mind! You can and will do it. There are days when my self-belief takes a battering but I stand up, dust myself down and get back on that writing pony - yeee har ;0)

Don't be afraid to stretch yourself - try a new angle, try a genre you've not written in before. If it's not working for you, change tack and find a way that does work. Believe in yourself and your writing ability to get published.

BELIEVE!
